Federal regulation requires any insurance claim check(s) issued by an adjuster be made payable to the borrower and Assurance Financial. This will require the check to be endorsed by you, the borrower, in order to begin the process of releasing funds for repairs.
Once the claim check is received, compile the following documentation and bring to Assurance Financial at the nearest location listed below.
Completed Insurance Adjuster’s Report (ALL PAGES) that itemizes the damages and provides the total claim amount or replacement cost value.
Endorsed claim check with the mortgage loan number written on the front of the check in the memo section.
Estimates (or copy of the contract) from all contractors performing work, including license numbers. Contractor MUST BE LICENSED.
In the event that you wish to make your own repairs, include a signed letter stating intent of self-repair. For reimbursement pertaining to repairs, a receipt must be provided for each purchase/transaction.
If you wish to authorize your contractor to receive information on your claim, complete and sign the Information Release Authorization Form.

Once these documents are compiled, bring them to Assurance Financial at one of the locations listed above, or mail it to Assurance Financial, Attn: Servicing, 9029 Jefferson Hwy Ste 100, Baton Rouge, LA 70809. We will review each item with you in person or by phone and then forward your documents to our Loss Draft Department for the release of funds.
For final disbursement, deliver or mail one of the following documents to Assurance Financial, Attn: Servicing, 9029 Jefferson Hwy Ste 100, Baton Rouge, LA 70809.
Once the Loss Draft Department receives all items as outlined in , 1/3 of the insurance claim proceeds will be released to the borrower via FedEx/UPS.
Once 50% of the work is complete, the borrower should then call the Loss Draft Department at (877) 592-0192 to set up an inspection. Please call to arrange the inspection 3-5 days prior. Upon approval, another 1/3 of the insurance claim proceeds will be released.
At 95% completion, call (877) 592-0192 to set up the final inspection. Remember, one of the two documents outlined in will be required at this time for final disbursement of the insurance claim proceeds.
